Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mushroom Studio ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use Video Downloader for Android (the "App"). The App is designed to process downloads primarily on your device.

1. Information handled by the App

Depending on the features you use, the App may access or process:

• URLs, search text, page titles, and browsing history entered or opened in the built-in browser.
• Website cookies that you explicitly choose to save for sites requiring authentication.
• Media metadata, including titles, formats, file sizes, thumbnails, and source website names.
• Downloaded audio and video files and their local download status.
• App settings, such as enabled cookie sites and concurrent download preferences.
• Purchase and subscription status supplied by Google Play when paid features are used.

2. How information is used

The App uses this information only to provide its functions: opening web pages, analyzing media links, authenticating to a website at your request, downloading and playing files, restoring download status, enforcing free usage limits, and enabling Pro features.

3. Local storage and retention

Downloaded files are stored in the App's private storage by default. Browsing history, cookie preferences, saved cookies, download records, and daily usage counters are also stored locally. They remain until you delete them in the App, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App. Android backups, if enabled by the device owner or platform, may be governed by Android and Google account settings.

4. Website cookies

The App only saves cookies when you choose to use the cookie feature. Cookies may contain authenticated session information and should be treated as sensitive. You can enable, disable, or delete saved cookies for individual websites from Cookie Management. Disabling a cookie prevents the App from using it for analysis and downloads; deleting it removes the saved local copy.

5. Third-party websites and services

When you open a website or request a download, your device communicates directly with that website and its infrastructure. The website may receive information normally sent with internet requests, such as your IP address, request headers, cookies, and device/browser information. Those services operate under their own privacy policies and terms.

Subscription purchases are processed by Google Play. We receive purchase status or entitlement information needed to activate Pro features, while Google handles payment details under its own privacy policy.

6. Sharing and sale of data

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your locally stored browsing history, saved cookies, or downloaded files with Mushroom Studio servers. Information is transmitted to third-party websites only as needed to perform actions you request, and purchase information is handled through Google Play.

7. Security

We use Android application-private storage to reduce access by other apps. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and should remove saved cookies when they are no longer needed.

8. Your choices and deletion

• Delete individual downloads or clear browsing history within the App.
• Disable or delete cookies per website in Cookie Management.
• Clear all App data from Android Settings or uninstall the App to remove locally stored App data.
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play.

The App currently does not create a Mushroom Studio user account, so there is no separate server-side account to delete.

9. Children's privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a Mushroom Studio account or server.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, legal requirements, or data practices change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest version.
